Free trial offer
The trial period begins the day that you start your account. It continues for 30 days up to the maximum storage limit for the backup plan you selected. If you exceed your storage limit, you will have the option to deselect some files to continue your free trial period, or purchase a backup plan with higher storage limits to suit your needs. The free trial is for 30 days for all backup plans.

During the install of the agent software, the software prompts for billing information. If you wish to start backing up, simply fill in the information requested. Otherwise, cancel the billing screen and then uninstall the software. It is not necessary to contact us to request cancellation of your account. Accounts that never provided credit card billing information are automatically cancelled. You don't need to worry about being charged because you didn't provide any billing information.

If you are using the software to re-establish your account, be sure to check the box on the registration screen during the sign-up process, to indicate that you already have an account. This will prevent accidentally opening a new account.

Registering a new account
The software that you download has registration login codes built into it. These codes enable you to log in to our data center. If you change the registration login, you will be denied access.

When you connect to the data center for the first time, you will be assigned an account number that identifies the computer that you will be backing up, and you will be given the option of printing your account information. We urge you to print the information. It contains details of your account that will be needed later on.

Once you have an account number, you no longer need the registration codes so there's no need for you to maintain a record of them.

How many computers can an account have?
Each computer requires its own account number, so the answer is one. If you have more than one PC with data you want to protect with this service, get online with your other PC and go here to sign up.

Unique account numbers enable the storage of vast amounts of data from computers around the world to be stored without losing track of it. The account number identifies which files belong to which computer.

Recovering an existing account
Download the current release of the software from this web site. When you run it, be sure to check the box on the registration screen to indicate that you already have an account. This will avoid accidentally opening a new account. The software will then guide you through the account recovery process.

How version upgrades are handled
From time to time, Connected makes changes to the software that will improve performance or add new features. When the new version has been thoroughly tested, it is released to our customers. Your version is then upgraded the next time you back up. There is no action required on your part and you will always have the latest version.
