Iron Mountain's Data Restoration and Electronic Discovery Support
Iron Mountain's Data Restoration and Electronic Discovery Support Service helps organizations gather, restore, search, organize, and deliver email and other records for litigation discovery, internal investigations, and regulatory inquiries.
Iron Mountain can help you:
- Gather relevant email and other records without spoliation and maintain defensible chain-of-custody. Iron Mountain can also collect relevant paper records to prepare for discovery. Our consultants are well-trained in chain of custody protocols and must pass security clearances.
- Restore critical emails, documents, and other records from thousands of backup tapes, optical platters even paper files. Iron Mountain can ensure that potentially relevant information such as emails, attachments, and other important metadata is included.
- Search and access restored email and other e-records instantly from any Web browser, anytime. Iron Mountain's Data Restoration and Electronic Discovery Support Service removes duplicates and indexes all restored files. These e-records are securely stored in our highly scalable Digital Archives.
With Iron Mountain's Discovery Folders Service, you can use specific search criteria to organize email, instant messages, scanned images, and other e-records into subject matter folders. Electronic records collected in folders can be copied or moved from folder to folder, exported to CDs or sent via FTP to a secure location of your choice. Iron Mountain can also organize and export the e-records for you.
The Digital Archives Service from Iron Mountain tracks and logs user interaction to provide an audit trail. You know who has accessed the restored e-records, and when they accessed them. You can set up multiple access levels to define who has access to what information.
Discovery results can be:
- Copied to secure media such as WORM
- Sent electronically via email or FTP
- Delivered as Microsoft Outlook files (pst format), Lotus Notes files (nsf format), or scanned image files (tiff format)
